Fantastic band of animal marimba players from Elado Santiago Cruz, of La Union, Oaxaca. Elado is the talented son of Placido Cruz, a very well known carver. This completely unique piece is carved of lightweight copal wood, and colored with analine dyes. The marimba is 6.5"w x 4"d x 3"h, and bears Elado's signature on its underside. The three exhuberant players are each about 4" tall with 4" reach including tails and mallets. Arms are slightly adjustable. Detail views below. Oaxaca, Mexico.
